TAS week is coming up soon, and there are a few events that you can look forward to! Besides the OFFICIAL launch of the new and improved TAS forum (check the post below for more on that), we’ll be organizing a inter-year studio design competion (ooh) and a talk by the tutors (ooh x 2) as well as the usual basheer book sale. But for now, be inspired to play with this t-shirt design competion.
OK now that I finally learn how to post, I can put up this long-overdue entry.
The new TAS committee took over from the 27th committee on 5th October 2007 with an AGM at our students’ lounge. Great turn out and we had a lively discussion on how the new TAS could be like. Melvin suggested that we need an image make-over… that TAS should be about bringing fun and excitement to the students of archi, and I agree!
Hello and welcome! I’ve made some changes to the site layout and hopefully it’s more user friendly now. Instead of the portal i’ll be posting announcements on TAS events and other things here. But the main part of the site you should be looking at is the forum here. The blog is a one-way flow of information from TAS to you, but the forum is for all NUS architecture students to communicate with each other, across all levels. We’ve just put in a new thread for you to post and look for holiday jobs, and a place for you to buy and sell your things to other archi students. So do bookmark the website and remember about these features the next time your firm is looking for more people or you need to sell your old books!
That’s all for now, but we’ll keep updating the site and adding more features so do keep coming back! Thanks for dropping by and happy holidays from all of us at TAS.
MIT sues Frank Gehry. Hah! Sorry if you’re a fan of his, but i’ve never been particularly fond of his work. I couldn’t find the exact article, but there were people who got heatstroke because the pavements outside the Disney Concert Hall were so hot… In the end they had to sandblast the whole facade.
